Resources

Looking for some resources for your organizing projects? Check out these listed here. But also visit our Blog and check out the many tips and resources available there.

Books
If you have the time, check for books on organizing at your local library. Most libraries nowadays also have interlibrary loans available, so you can usually get just about any book you want if you are willing to sometimes wait a wee while.

Or check your local bookstore or any of the online bookstores if you'd rather get a copy of your own. Unless I can get it for cheap, I try the library route first, and if I find a book I really like, then I get a copy for my own library.

Here are some organizing books I would recommend:
        • Getting Things Done - by David Allen
        • Organizing from the Inside Out - by Julie Morgenstern
        • One Minute Organizer - by Donna Smallin

Storage
You can use all kinds of things for storage. It doesn't hurt to think outside the box now and again either.

Think about using things you like. For example, I happen to enjoy crystal and glassware, so here's my desk organizer. I've found assorted glassware pieces at thrift stores or garage sales. They work great for post-it pads, pens and pencils, scissors and paintbrushes, and whatever other odds and sorts fit into them.

How long do you keep doing something that isn't working?
- Paul Hartunian

A good plan today is better than a perfect plan tomorrow.
- George S. Patton

Few people have any next, they live from hand to mouth without a plan, and are always at the end of their line.
- Ralph Waldo Emerson
